The Merrickville and District Historical Society are marking the 225th anniversary of Merrickville-Wolford.
Society First Vice-President Michael Whittaker says they will be covering a wide range of topics.
The first event is set to take place on May 27th at the Merrickville-Wolford legion. Whittaker will be the speaker for that particular presentation which will be about the Roger Stevens and William Merrick, the first two families to settle in the area. Whittaker says there is some intrigue in the story.
Whittaker will be exploring their backgrounds both separately and as loyalist families. Anyone looking for more information can find it here.
