Nearly 3,000 customers are out of power in the region.
The power went out around 11:30am. Hydro One says power is expected to be restored by 2:45pm, although that is just an estimate.
Hydro One says the outage is under investigation.
That outage has also affected customers through Rideau St. Lawrence Distribution.
UPDATE
Power was restored in the area just after 1:40pm. According to the Hydro One website power has been restored to all customers.
No word on what cause the outage.
