Brockville Police Department Announces Police Week Schedule

It is Police Week in Ontario.

Brockville Police Services Constable Mark Heffernan says it serves as an opportunity to celebrate with residents in the area.

There are number of events planned including the Brockville Stingers After School Program running tomorrow. The Gananoque Police Service and Prescott OPP Detachment are both also bringing a bus load of children to the event. Brockville Police will be using its new event trailer to give the youth free donuts courtesy of Mini Donut Express. Heffernan says they’ll be selling those donuts at events all summer.

On Wednesday police are hosting an anniversary party and open house to celebrate the Bartholomew Community Hub. Thursday night is the Brockville Police Auction featuring property confiscated throughout the year, like bikes. Police week in Brockville wraps up Friday with the Connections Open House. According to police the Connections programs supports disengaged youth in Lanark, Leeds and Grenville.

Heffernan says they’ll be making an important announcement during the Connections Open House.
