Lockwood Brothers Raffling off Play Structure to Help Fire Departments

Lockwood Brothers Construction is raffling off a fire truck play structure in support of local fire departments. The money raised will go towards fire alarms and carbon monoxide detectors for people who can’t afford them. The funds will be doled out to the North Grenville Fire Service, the Merrickville Fire Department and the Edwardsburgh-Cardinal Fire Department. Owner Corey Lockwood says the goal is to hit the $40,000 mark.

Lockwood Brothers worked on the play structure throughout the winter. Other local businesses contributed: Rona donated the lumber, Copperwood is putting in a water cannon, Howell Electric is doing the wiring and MotorTrendz provided the trailer. The draw date is December 14. Lockwood says he hopes to deliver it to the winner Christmas morning.

Tickets will be available at local events leading up to the draw or by calling Lockwood Brothers directly at 613-258-4225.
