A weekend fishing trip has come to a sad end near Johnstown. Around 2:00pm on December 19th, police received a report that two fishermen had been rescued from Adams Island. Investigation showed three men had been fishing when their boat took on water and overturned.
Two of the men were able to get safely to the island where they were rescued by another fishing boat. The third man was missing. A search began on land, water and in the air.
On Sunday, the missing man was located by OPP helicopter. Â At 1:00pm, the body of the 48-year-old man from Augusta Township was recovered by OPP divers. An autopsy is scheduled for Monday.
