Home-grown charity collects 850 pairs of “Jammies for Christmas”

The pajamas are piling up, ready to keep some little people cuddly and warm this Christmas. Eleven-year-old cousins Kayla Hare and Jack Carroll have been working with their grandparents, Carol and Tom, to collect donations of pajamas around South Grenville. At last count, they were at 750 pairs, with another 100 or so yet to be picked up.

“Jammies for Christmas” will be distributed to children throughout the area so that everyone can have a brand new pair to pull on, Christmas morning. Canadian Border Services Agency donated 156 pairs of jammies, St. Lawrence Academy contributed 74 pairs, and many local businesses and school have had donation boxes filling up at their locations.

You can find out more about this local cause by following them on Facebook or visiting their website, www.jammiesforchristmas.com.
