South Nation Conservation has issued a Water Safety Statement for area.
Due to recent rainfall and thaws water levels across the region are rising. According to the conservation this could lead to flooding in low lying areas and increased runoff around river banks. Residents are being told to exercise caution near rivers. Parents are also encouraged to warn children about the possibility of increase danger.
This statement is expected to remain in effect until April 20th.
