North Grenville is Hosting a 3rd Heritage Symposium About Eastern Ontario

The Municipality of North Grenville is putting on an event for anyone interested in the area’s heritage.

Planner with the Municipality Phil Mosher says the 3rd Heritage Symposium will be a good chance for anyone interested in heritage to learn about what’s going on in the field.

There will be four speakers covering a number of topics during the symposium. According to Mosher a Heritage Planner from the City of Kingston will be talking about designating churches and the success Kingston has had. A local business owner Gary Courville will also present about his heritage business.

The last two speakers will be from the National Trust and Ontario Heritage Trust according to Mosher. He adds that even though North Grenville is hosting the event they discussions will focus on Eastern Ontario as a whole.

Registration for the event is being done online and a link can be found here. Mosher finished by saying the event is a great way to learn more about heritage. The symposium is May 4th.
