North Dundas team wins 2015 High School Improv Championship

The North Dundas District High School junior team is the winner of the 2015 High School Improv Championship, held December 10th. The all-female winning team, known as “The Stereotypes, edged out seven other teams to take this year’s championship. Students from North Dundas, Tagwi Secondary, Glengarry District High School, and St. Lawrence Secondary School took part in this year’s event.

Judges say the animated, physical nature of the girls’ performances won the judges over, particularly Thompson’s comic interpretation of a teacher instructing students how to use body movements to attract the opposite sex, and a team “adventure performance” about animals and hunting.
