Prescott Receiving More from Main Street Revitalization

North Grenville is getting more funding than anticipated for Main Street Revitalization Projects.

In January, the Province of Ontario announced that $26 million would be allocated to revitalize Ontario’s main streets, including just under $37,000 for Prescott. However, the municipality is now getting over $41,000 for funding.

That’s because while the funding is from the province, the administration of the funds is through the Association of Municipalities of Ontario, meaning more than 400 municipalities will be getting about 4% more than expected.

The funding can be used on community projects such as signage, streetscaping improvements or to implement marketing plans.
