Applications are now being accepted for the City of Brockville Legacy Fund.
According to the city there is around $8,000 available for distribution this year. The money goes to groups and initiatives that are putting on recreational or cultural projects. The Legacy Committee is reappointed every year by the mayor. It consists of two council members as well as three past Citizens of the Year winners. This year’s councillors are Jason Baker and Tom Blanchard.
Applications are due by April 27th at 4:00pm and the form can be downloaded from here. According to the fund they have given out around $200,000 since 2009.
