Parents concerned about the food their children get at school will want to attend an upcoming forum.
The second annual Good Food in Schools Forum is being put on at the end of March by foodcoreLGL and The Table Community Food Centre. The all-day event will feature a keynote address from the Jen Coorsh, coordinator of Canadian Organic Growers – Ottawa’s Growing Up Organic Program, about the successes, challenges, tools and resources needed successful school gardens and edible classrooms.
The forum is being promoted as a place for educators, parents, community organizers and other interested parties can promote health lunches, as well as other programs like school gardens and food literacy.
