Tax Season Leads to Scam Warning

There is help available locally and for some, navigating taxes can be like a minefield.

he Canadian Revenue Agency knows that it can be difficult wants you to know that if you’re ever asked for things like payment with a pre-paid credit card, any kind of personal info or receive threats of arrest or legal action you could be dealing with a scammer.

The CRA says these and other well-known tactics are among the list of things they will never do and if you find yourself questioning anything that is claiming to be from them, the best course of action is to contact the Agency directly. Their website is here.
