UCDSB Director provides annual report

Upper Canada District School Board Director Stephen Sliwa has released his Annual Report and it shows a new course of direction.

The report details the success of the board last year in meeting four strategic priorities of achieving excellence, ensuring equity, promoting well-being, and enhancing public confidence in the school board.

The board is promoting math communities in the classroom, and using collaborative professional learning groups to improve teaching and learning.

The report shows the board’s focus on wellness through physical literacy programming, mental health supports offered to students and staff, and the new Community Suicide Prevention, Intervention and Risk Review Protocol.The report shows how the UCDSB has improved communication social media, the My Family Room messaging system, and the new UCTV website, which allows streaming sports events to providing training videos for staff.
