Prescott residents have been part of a discussion on the future of Fort Wellington. Parks Canada officials are considering suggestions from the public as they develop a new management plan for the Fort.
Among the suggestions: co-operative marketing efforts would increase the exposure for all tourism activities along the St. Lawrence. Some requests, including upgrades to the existing picket palisade, might not be done unless they can be confirmed as historically correct.
