A Snow Squall Warning is in effect for the area.
Environment Canada says conditions are favourable for a brief, but intense snow squall, as a cold front passes through Eastern Ontario late this afternoon or early this evening. Environment Canada says that visibility might suddenly be reduced for drivers and those outdoors with a burst of heavy snow. However, it’s expected to be limited to a few centimeters as the snow squall passes through quickly.
Environment Canada is reminding drivers that travel could be hazardous due to sudden changes in the weather.
