Building Conditions Assessment: Water Tower

The water tower will likely cost the town in the next five years.

This week during a presentation by Director of Public Works and Infrastructure Dan Beattie it was announced that the tower would likely reach its lifespan in the next five years. According to town staff replacing the tank would cost almost two and a half million dollars.

A new tower would need to be constructed while the old one was still in place and there isn’t enough room on the existing property for this. This means the cost would also likely include a land purchase and reconfiguration.

The total cost of replacing the water tower will likely be in the three to three and a half million dollar range.
