Wild Game Dinner Fundraiser

A local Wild Game Dinner will be raising money for refugees in the area.

Rene Schoemaker is one of the hunters providing meat for the meal and he says there will be something for everyone. Deer, moose, Canadian goose, duck, bison and elk dishes will all be on the menu, to go along with vegan and farm-raised options.

Jackie Schoemaker-Holmes , Chair of the Refugees for Brockville Committee, says the money raised goes to refugee families directly through sponsors who have volunteered to help their transition. These funds are used to cover unexpected or unforeseeable costs.

Dinner will be served at the Prescott Legion on February 24th from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. General admission costs $52, tax receipts are available and there are discounts applied to group rates. Tickets can be purchased online from Snap’d, in person by contacting [email protected] or stopping at Craft Boutique in downtown Prescott. There will also be live music during the meal.
