Seaway Valley Crime Stoppers event brings in more than $2,500

Cuffed for a Cause was a huge success in North Dundas.

The fundraiser for the Seaway Valley Crime Stoppers managed to raise more than $2,500.

Winchester Foodland Owner Dan Pettigrew had been “arrested” and placed in jail with 250 pairs of handcuffs attached to him. The arrest took place at 9:00am on Saturday and by 4:45pm Pettigrew was freed after a number of donations were received.

OPP Constable Tylor Copeland says he was also busy making “arrests” of local business owners and community celebrities to help with the event.

The Seaway Valley Crime Stoppers thank the public for their support.
