Yoga being offered for cancer patients and survivors at WDMH

Cancer patients and survivors can take advantage of a new yoga program at Winchester District Memorial Hospital.

The hospital says the new program will focus on how to live well with cancer and is specifically designed for patients and survivors of the disease. The hospital says that while complementary therapies do not treat the cancer itself, it can help improve overall health and well-being. WDMH Cancer Care Coach Michelle Renaud says research shows that yoga offers both exercise and relaxation and can be of great benefit to those dealing with cancer.

The program starts on January 24th from 10:00am to 11:15am and runs for 12 weeks at the hospital. The cost is $95 per person. The hospital says support people are welcome as well.

If you’d like to register for the program, you can call 613-774-2420, extension 6798.
