Some fraud victims will be able to get some of their stolen money back.
That’s according to the OPP, which released information from the Federal Trade Commission. Anyone scammed after sending money by way of Western Union between 2004 and January, 2017, can now submit a claim to get reimbursed. All claims have to be filed by February 12th. Click here to find out how.
But, OPP Constable Janice Sawbridge says an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.
Sawbridge also says a lot of these scams involve for sale websites, where people try to sell anything from pets to cars.
