Health Unit reminding residents to get water tested

Get your well water tested.

That’s the message from the Leeds, Grenville & Lanark District Health Unit. The health unit is reminding residents on well water to get it checked for contamination. Officials at the health unit say deep well water quality isn’t constant and can change over time while shallow well water can change seasonally.

The health unit points to a number of water quality problems that homeowners can experience including E. Coli, high levels of fluoride, pesticides, fuels, nitrates and other issues.

The health unit also reminds residents to consider a good quality water treatment system based on the issues they might face on their property. You can learn more about getting your water tested by going here.
