The Township of Augusta has published a letter from Union Gas on their website.
The letter is an update on the Township’s application for the Ontario government’s Natural Gas Grant Program. According to the letter the Ministry of Infrastructure has approved funding for projects under the Natural Gas Grant Program but Augusta was not approved to receive any grant money.
Union Gas state in the letter that, after approval by council, they prepared a project design and filed 45 applications during a 90 day period. They also add that more money was asked for in applications from across the province than was available, so not all projects were selected.
