The OPP are asking for the public’s help as they continue their investigation into a vehicle travelling the wrong direction on the 401.
According to the OPP just before 6:00am on December 1st they received many calls telling them that a transport truck was driving eastbound in the highway’s westbound lanes. Callers described the truck as gray and pulling a blue, sea container style trailer.
An investigation revealed the transport travelled through the median between the east and westbound service centres. This damaged the truck and officers found a silver plastic bumper from a Volvo truck. No other injuries or accidents have been reported as a result of this incident but the OPP are asking anyone with information to contact them at 613-345-1790 or 1-888-310-1122.
