The Town of Prescott has selected a new Group Benefits Plan Advisor.
Pending approval by council the town will be entering into a business partnership with Mosey and Mosey Insurance Agency Limited. Chief Administrative Officer Pierre Mercier made the announcement during this week’s Committee of the Whole meeting. Town hall received nine proposals from companies looking to take on the role and Mosey was selected because of their expertise. According to Mercier they already provide services for a number of municipalities including the cities of Cornwall and Brockville.
During the presentation the question of whether they should hire a local advisor was raised but Mercier and the council felt that Mosey and Mosey’s experience would be most beneficial for town staff. Councilor Lee McConnell supported selecting the new advisor, calling it an excellent idea.
There will be no financial impact on the town due to the move from one advisor to another.
