A 25-year-old Prescott man is facing charges after sleeping impaired at the wheel. Just before 3:00am on November 28th, police on patrol spotted a vehicle pulled over on the shoulder of County Road 2 in Edwardsburgh/Cardinal Township. The driver was asleep at the wheel with the vehicle still in drive and his foot on the brake.
Officers managed to put the car in park but when the driver awoke he put it back in drive, pulled ahead and bumped the cruiser parked in front of him. He was arrested for impaired care and control of a vehicle and taken to the Prescott detachment for a breathalyzer test. He will appear in Brockville court at a later date.
