The Spirit of Giving Food and Fund Drive is under way.
The annual campaign from the Kinsmen Club of Prescott started on Tuesday and will run until December 16th. The food, toy and fund drive collects goods and redistributes them to registered families in need around Christmas. Families interested in registering as a recipient must attend an upcoming registration session. The first session will be held on November 29th, but the location is yet to be determined.
There are many ways to donate including filling drums placed in local stores, by mailing the Kinsmen Club of Prescott or during the upcoming parade to South Grenville District High School students. Students from the high school will also be going door to door from 5:30pm to 8:00pm on select nights. The next evening in Prescott is November 14th.
The Kinsmen Club stress that all donations must be in by December 15th because the baskets will be distributed starting December 16th. For more information contact Art Hitsman at [email protected].
