Kidde fire extinguisher recall

Local fire services are asking you to check the fire extinguishers in your home in case they’ve been recalled

Kidde has announced it’s recalling certain fire extinguishers manufactured between 1973 and 2017 because they can become clogged, need extra force to use, can fail to discharge, or the nozzle can detach.

The recall applies to 23 models of Kidde plastic fire extinguishers that come in red, white, and silver with ABC or BC ratings.

Six models of Kidde push-button Pindicator fire extinguishers that come in white and red with red or black nozzles have also been recalled.
