The Grenville Community Future Development Corporation has some programs they hope will bring business to Prescott.
With offices located in downtown Prescott the corporation has an Investing in Regional Diversification fund that provides financing for projects with an emphasis on; new product development, green tech, female entrepreneurs, business succession planning and ownership transition. Interesting businesses can receive up to $350,000 but must be a small to medium sized business.
The corporation also offers a loan for industrial retrofits, façade improvements and interior or exterior retro fits through the Community Retrofit Loan Program. Façade improvements include; storefront improvements, repair or restoration of heritage elements, signage, lighting and other related improvements. Qualified businesses must be from Augusta, Edwardsburgh Cardinal, North Grenville or Prescott.
