Many residents along the St. Lawrence went out to see the USS Milwaukee Sunday afternoon, on her maiden voyage up the river to the Atlantic. The war ship was pulled through the locks at Iroquois by a tugboat. She had been docked in Milwaukee until a special commissioning ceremony November 21st.
There are a reported 100 crew members on board. The ship will be in service for at least twenty-five years.
