Brockville General Hospital has announced its new Chief of Staff.
After Dr. David Goldstein, the current Chief of Staff, announced his intentions to retire from the hospital, BGH established a search committee to find a replacement. Led by provincially-appointed supervisor Kevin Empey the committee included medical leadership and representatives from the hospital’s board of directors.
After an intensive search Dr. Rob Malone was selected to fill the position. Malone is not new to the hospital; he has been the Chief of Psychiatry and a member of the Medical Advisory Committee at BGH since 2010. According to BGH, Malone shows a commitment to learning and teaching, receiving multiple awards for his efforts.
Most recently he received the Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching award from the Queen’s Department of Psychiatry.
