Fortunately a collision in Prescott resulted in only minor injuries.
Just before noon on Tuesday Leeds OPP responded to the scene of a collision involving a minivan and a pedestrian at the intersection of Edward Street and King Street. According to the OPP the van turned right, to head west on King Street, when it struck a pedestrian.
The pedestrian was released from the scene after being looked at by attending paramedics and left under their own power. The van sustained a broken side mirror and cracked windshield. The OPP charged the driver under the Ontario Highway Traffic Act with failure to yield to a pedestrian.
