The Town of Prescott is now accepting proposals for Financial Audit Services.
According to a post of the town’s website they are looking for an individual, or company, that can supply the town with Financial Audit Services. This is not a call for tender but instead a request for proposals so town hall can enter into negotiations with the most suitable candidate.
The minimum qualifications for candidates include; the lead staff member assigned to the audit holding a valid accounting designation and previous experience with municipal audit engagement, completing a municipal audit of a similar size and scope within the last three years, demonstrating an understanding of legislation that is relevant to local governments, having sufficient staffing, facilities, finances and expertise to address the scope of the audit and demonstrating a commitment to providing reasonable annual continuity.
The town says they are looking for a five year contract with the successful candidate, if the party selected agrees. All proposals must be submitted by November 17th at 3:00pm and any proposals received after this will not be considered. There will be no public opening of this request for proposal.
