The Ontario Agriculture Road Show, presented by BDO, happens tomorrow in North Gower. Genevieve Cavanagh says one of the topics being covered is how to prepare for the unthinkable – the sudden loss of your spouse on the farm. Guest speakers Maggie Van Camp and Angie Fox lost their husbands in farming accidents, and they had to learn the hard way, how to run their farms alone.
Guests at the Agriculture Road Show will also hear from Steve Duff, Senior Agricultural Economist of OMAFRA, on the Trans-Pacific Partnership. BDO will present a segment on the temporary foreign workers program and regulatory compliance, and how to keep proper records.
Cavanagh says one of the presentations will focus on new drone video technology to help on the farm.
The Agriculture Road Show happens at the Alfred Taylor Recreation Centre in North Gower December 1st, from 10:00am to 3:00pm.
