Stormont, Dundas and Glengary OPP are currently at the scene of a collision on County Road 2 between Merkley Street and Augusta Street.
The OPP say a preliminary investigation indicates that at approximately 7:00am a vehicle was driving westbound on County Road 2 when it crossed into the eastbound lane and collided head on with another vehicle. What caused the vehicle to veer into the wrong lane is still unknown.
Both drivers were the lone occupants in their vehicles and were transported to hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries. The OPP are still on scene investigating, along with the OPP Traffic Collision Investigators.
As the investigation continues the section of County Road 2 between Augusta and Merkley will be closed to traffic.
