Brockville Police are warning the public that mischief is continuing in midtown.
A resident who had reported their garage being broken into on October 5th came back this week to tell police the robbery was more severe than first thought. The original report was that only a small amount of change had been taken but he later realized a number of power tools were stolen as well. This comes in the wake of a number of burglaries from cars and residences in the Bartholomew Street area.
Police are encouraging everyone to protect themselves by making sure all doors and windows are secured, that all sheds or garages are well lit and keeping valuables out of sight by either drawing the curtains or keeping them off site. They also suggest letting your neighbours know if you are going out of town, this way they will know whether anyone should be at the residence or not.
The police are urging the public to report any suspicious people or activity in the area.
