Impaired driving arrest

A concerned citizen’s tip has led to impaired driving charges being laid by police.

Brockville Police say that yesterday they received a call about a silver Honda that was driving erratically and was not maintaining a constant speed. The caller was able to provide police with both a location and license plate number. Police say they caught up with the vehicle near the intersection of Stewart Boulevard and Jefferson Drive. After speaking with the driver police were able to smell alcohol and decided to take the 59-year-old Addison area man to police headquarters for breath tests.

According to police after the breathe samples the man was charged with impaired driving and driving with over 80 milligrams of alcohol in 100 milliliters of blood. He was subsequently released with a future court date.
