A presentation on elder abuse is being planned for National Elder Abuse Awareness Day.
Victim Services Leeds and Grenville and the Grenville County OPP are partnering to put together the event on June 15th from 9:30am to 3:00pm at the North Grenville Municipal Centre.
A number of speakers will talk about the different forms of elder abuse during the event.
Grenville County OPP Detachment Commander Inspector June Dobson says they recognize the need for this type of education.
The event is open to anyone who has an interest in learning more about the topic. Organizers hope many seniors and caregivers will attend.
