A 36-year-old OPP officer from the Kemptville detachment is facing an assault charge.
The Special Investigations Unit looked into the incident that took place on November 14th of last year. Police were called to a home in North Grenville in the early morning hours. They spoke to the 53-year-old woman who lived in the home and then left. Later, officers returned and there was an incident between the officers and the woman. She was arrested during the incident.
Now, the 36-year-old OPP officer is facing a charge of assault and is expected to appear in Brockville Court on March 10th.
