Prescott has the chance to be home to two national champion skaters.
20-year old Alaine Chartrand and 16-year old Matthew Markell will be heading to the Canadian Tire National Skating Championships next month.
Chartrand will be looking to defend her national championship she won at the event in Halifax last year, while Markell will be looking to grab the top spot as well after a silver medal finish last year.
The competition takes place January 16th to 20th in Ottawa at TD Place.
The pair can be seen before that tomorrow night at the Prescott Figure Skating Club’s Annual Showcase at 6:30pm.
